Welcome to English III! In this class, we will focus entirely on American Literature and how it reflects the changes throughout American History. Literature is not only a reflection of the time in which it was created, but it is also a criticism of it, and through close reading and analysis, we can begin to see how we’ve changed by taking a journey to the past through the eyes of a character.
Honors III will have the added task of finding out the connection between each movement on their own. As honors students, your job is to figure out how each movement evolved from the previous movements in literature while at the same time bringing something unique to the mix. You get to find out what that unique thing is.
